Pay attention!
To quote a famous music critique:

"It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!"

As I read through the words of wisdom espressed by so many of you, I can't help wondering how many of you ever cracked a history book. The positions taken and the utter ridiculus statements made is plain idiocy.

They, the OBL's of the world, have us pegged correctly; too many of our past leaders (including Clinton) have led them to believe that we are only concerned about our pleasures; and, unfortunately, they see us as weak-kneed cowards who will run (RUN Paul?) away from danger like frightened children.

What is with it us??? Do we have no fortitude?

One of you stated that we "disrupted a stable nation" or words to that affect. Are you out of your mind; Iraq was NOT a stable nation. I find it unbelievable that anyone could make such a statement. If you believe that, maybe you should spend sometime in another stable nation like Iran; and while there be sure to declare your civil rights!

Now, President Bush did not create the problems we face; he inherited them. They came as a result of past bad decisions; even one made by his father. They can as a result of President Reagan's decision not to retaliate when the Marine barracks was blown-up.

And they, the Problems, certainly were ascerbated by the PLAYBOY in the oval office.

Just as President Lincoln did not cause the Civil War (he inherited the evil that was in place when he took office) he had no choice if the Union was to be preserved and eventually slavery abolished.

So too, President Bush had to do what nearly every other politician felt was necessary. Saddam was a threat that had to go. If you don't believe me, ask Clinton what his posistion was in 1998.

We live in a time that has the roots of the Terrorism goes back several centuries. We must stand firm.

The roots of terrorism goes back several centuries, long before President Bush took office.

I believe that if the people of this country will start to act like it is a "United States" and face reality, the war on terror will be controlled.

Why do I say "controlled?"

Simple; evil exists and will raise its ugly head in every generation and place possible. Greed, avarice, hatred, jealousy and pure orneryness is so rampant that the best we can hope for is to "control and contain the evil that so many aspire to."

There are many wonderful people in this world who go about trying to raise their families, earn a decent living and who have a desire to help those who are unable to help themselves. Most do not have time to sit around and focus on how bad President Bush is. How he betrayed "us" (which is total nonsense) and the need to make everything better by getting rid of him. Those who really believe that the world will suddenly be at peace and harmony, if we can just get him out of office, are in for a rude awakening.

I remember vividly that President Bush first declared what is referred to as "the Bush Doctrine", he warned that the battle (WOT) will be lengthy, costly and will be cause of many deaths. HE DID FOREWARN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THE FREE WORLD OF THE TERRIBLE PRICE WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY!

I am so disheartened by those who cannot understand the seriousness of this conflict. If we run and hide our heads in the sand, our children and my 21 grandchildren will lose their freedom and will be forced to live by the warped idiology of the Sharia laws.
